Hanging outdoorsSquirrel-resistant Hanging Feeder
A seed tube inside a metal cage. Small birds slip through the gaps to feed; larger visitors find it harder going. Squirrel-resistant, which means harder for squirrels, not impossible. Determined squirrels are clever.

For the garden beyond the glass.
Hang it from a branch or a bracket within sight of the window. The cage around the tube makes life harder for bigger birds and squirrels, and the clear tube shows you at a glance when it's time to refill.

Asked & answered.
Reviews from Perchwild customers will appear on this page after their orders arrive.
Will it stop all squirrels?
No feeder can promise that. The cage makes it harder, and placement helps most: hang it away from fences, branches and roofs that squirrels can leap from.
Which birds can use it?
Small birds that cling and perch, like tits, finches, chickadees and sparrows, reach the tube through the cage. Larger birds such as pigeons and crows find it difficult.
Where should I hang it?
Within view of a window you sit near, in a spot with some nearby cover for small birds to dart to. If it's near glass, keep it either very close (under a metre) or well away (more than 9 m) to reduce window strikes.
