It runs on sunshine, so give it some.
The fountain floats in your bird bath and sprays when the panel is in direct sun. In shade or on grey days it rests. We'd rather tell you now. Moving water catches the eye of passing birds, and it's the single best thing you can add to a garden in summer.

Asked & answered.
Reviews from Perchwild customers will appear on this page after their orders arrive.
Does it work in shade?
No. It needs direct sun on the panel. In shade or under heavy cloud it stops until the sun comes back.
Does it need batteries or a power point?
No. It runs entirely from its own small solar panel.
How deep should the bath be?
Birds like shallow water, around 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 in). Keep enough water in the bath for the fountain to float freely.
