Three rules that travel well.
- Water first. A shallow, clean bird bath helps more birds than any feeder, especially in summer.
- Clean feeders, always. Scrub trays and tubes every week or two. Dirty feeders spread disease between birds.
- Glass-smart placement. Put feeders either right on the glass or well away from it, never a few metres out where birds can build up speed toward the window.
